Account Executive – Indianapolis, IN

The Account Executive is responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and producing sales with potential and current customers while providing superior customer service. Much of your time will be spent communicating with customers and carriers in matters relating to freight shipments. You are the face of C&L that a potential customer has so you must represent yourself and C&L to a high standard at all times.

Pay:

salary + uncapped commission

Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with new customers through lead generation, prospecting, cold calling and email communication
  • Sell and close new and existing customers to move their freight.
  • Negotiate price with shippers and carriers.
  • Manage daily shipments, resolving issues, to ensure pickup and delivery is on time, 24/7/365.
  • Be honest and proactive in all your communications - internally and externally.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities with key decision makers and determining the appropriate approach for each designated customer.
  • Serve assigned customer accounts and expand transportation services by providing great service.
  • Manage the relationship between the customer and the company.
  • Create solutions based on customer needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, routinely going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales experience in logistics industry preferred but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics
