Account Executive – Kansas City, MO
In the Account Executive role, you’ll play a huge and important part in driving revenue growth for C&L through new customer acquisition. You’ll be responsible for closing new business through lead generation, relationship-building, and referrals while providing superior customer service. Much of your time will be spent communicating with customers and carriers in matters relating to freight shipments. You are the face of C&L that a potential customer has, so you must represent yourself and C&L to a high standard at all times.

Salary + Uncapped CommissionResponsibilities:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of new business by establishing relationships with potential customers through lead generation, prospecting, cold calling, and email communication.
- Be a champion, navigating new business opportunities along through the different tollgates of the sales process.
- Be an expert intermediary between shippers and carriers, negotiating price.
- Manage & execution of daily shipments, resolving issues, to ensure on time pickup and delivery.
- Be honest and proactive in all your communications - internally and externally.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities with key decision makers and determining the appropriate approach & solution for each designated customer.
- Provide great service to all customers while always exploring opportunities to capture additional wallet share.
- Manage the relationship between the customer and the company.
- Create solutions based on customer needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, routinely going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales experience in logistics industry preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics
- Strong negotiation skills – persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence, resilient
- Entrepreneurial and competitive spirit, passion, self-motivation
- Organization and attention to detail
